Mint for the Atari ST

FreeMint is an alternative opensource Operative System for the 16/32bits Atari, which has the particularity of being compatible with the original Atari TOS as well a being a Unix clone.

Disk image

If you're curious about Mint, you can check this hard disk image containing a ready to use Freemint Disk Image. You should use it with ST High Resolution (640*400) and 4MB of Ram. Atari ACSI hard diskimage

How it looks

When Mint is installed, you get now a real multitasking OS, as show these programs running simultaneously.

Components

Included are FreeMint 1.15 and Atari AES v 4.1 (aka Multitos)

Tips

From this page I have mirrored here the useful perl script of Jens which allows accessing the Atari TOS Partitions from Unix/Linux.
