Mint for the Atari ST

FreeMint is an alternative opensource Operative System for the 16/32bits Atari, which has the particularity of being compatible with the original Atari OS as well a being a Unix clone.

Disk image

If you're curious about Mint, you can check this hard disk image containing a fresh Mint Installation ( Freemint 1.15, AES 4.1 and Qed Text editor ) You should use it with ST High Resolution (640*400) and 4MB of Ram.

Atari / Hatari hard diskimage with FreeMint

Tips
  1. Using mtools copy the Freemint, Qed and Teradesktop archives on the emulated hard drive, following this page

I have mirrored here the useful perl script of Jens which allows accessing the Atari Partitions from Unix/Linux.

Demo

When Mint is installed, you get now a real multitasking OS, as show these programs running simultaneously.
